Proof of Concept


This is the second dev log for Porous is He.

The week, we came up with a design for the scripts that will manage the main mechanics for the game, and implemented them. We will record a demo of the mechanics for Wednesday.

The following is what everyone worked on this week:

David - Fixed the shooting script (allow players to only shoot while zoomed in)

Jay - Worked on scripts for the fire, working on scripts for the projectile, integration work

Jenny - Designed the map, worked on scripts for liquid sources, worked on fire effects, integration work, recorded the demo

Nicole - Worked on script for managing the player's liquid 'inventory'

For next week, development will focus on polishing of game elements such as movement, shooting, camera, as well as visual elements such as UI, models. Additionally, a game elements will be expanded upon, such as a passive effects system (i.e, move faster after absorbing coffee). Finally, there will be experimentation with puzzle and level design.
